Established in 1992 with a conventional casting and cold rolling line, current facility is located inMedan, North Sumatra. PT Intibumi Alumindotama Industry plant compromises all stages of down stream aluminum production process such as melting, casting, scalping, homogenize, reheating, hot rolling, cold mill, annealing, coil stretching, coil slitting, sheet cutting and circle blanking.

Aluminium foil was supplied in its pure form (commercial purity) or in a variety of alloys and tempers which give a wide choice of tensile properties. The thickness of aluminium foil range from 6 um (micron) to the define upper limit of 200 um (micron). Material thicker than o,2 mm is defined as sheet.Our aluminium foil is highly compatible with foods and pharmaceuticals. It is non-toxic, low weight and has high recycle ability. Aluminium foil is corrosion resistant and is extremely cost effective, assuring optimum performance yet resource economy.

Pure Aluminium Ingots are melted in 24 Tons Melting Furnace and mixed with other elements such as iron, silicon, manganese, magnesium, copper, etc. The material is analyzed and adjusted to ensure the correct composition of aluminium alloys, then filtered, degassed and transfer to the DC caster.

Slabs are scalped and preheated, then repeatedly passed through hot rolling mill which rolled into thick coils with thickness 8mm-6mm and max width of 1400mm.

Hot Coils is rolled in Cold rolling mills then annealed to give them the required strength. Cold mills are equipped with automatic gauge control to achieve the closest tolerance to meet the stringent requirements of the customers.

Cold Coils are transferred into the Foil Rolling Mills, which are rolled, and then separated at the foil separator to produce foil with thickness of 6 microns or surface required by the customer.

Cold Rolled Coils are processed into sheets, coils and circles, thread plates, embossed coils, foil coils, depending on the intended end applications. Other finishing facilities include tension leveling, slitting line, cut to length line, blanking line, shearing etc.
